Jury Trial Verdicts

  • James Simmons v. Larry Collins (Gadsden County, Florida Circuit Court Case No.: 2012 1003 CAA)
  • Mr. Nonni served as second chair trial counsel in a case where his client was injured by a dangerous power tool that was provided to him by the defendant. The power tool’s grinding wheel shattered, and a piece of the wheel struck Mr. Simmons’ eye, resulting in total and permanent blindness.

  • Michael Hamblen, as Personal Representative of the Estate of Samantha Hamblen v. Pilot Travel Centers, LLC d/b/a Flying J (Gadsden County, Florida Circuit Court Case No.: 2014 CA 365)
  • Mr. Nonni served as second chair trial counsel in a case where his client’s only child was killed in a car crash that was caused, in part, because the way in which the entrances to the defendant’s business were designed and maintained created a dangerous condition on its property.

  • Gwendolyn Streeter v. Betsy Ann Wood and Government Employees Insurance Company (Gadsden County, Florida Circuit Court Case No.: 2014 CA 349)
  • Mr. Homola served as second chair trial counsel in a case where his client was rear-ended by another motorist.  The collision resulted in a lower back injury requiring ongoing pain management injections in the future.

  • Michael R. Jones v. Progressive Select Insurance Company (Leon County, Florida
    Circuit Court Case No.: 2016 CA 342)
  • Mr. Homola served as lead trial counsel in a case where his client was rear-ended by an underinsured motorist. The collision caused an aggravation of a lower back condition resulting in the need for ongoing pain management treatment in the future. The insurance company’s main defense was a medical record from two weeks prior to the collision in which the client complained to his chiropractor about lower back pain.

  • Melissa Harrison v. Rynelle Emhof (Leon County, Florida Circuit Court Case No.: 2011 CA 607)
  • Mr. Homola served as second chair trial counsel in a case where his client was rear-ended by another motorist.  The client suffered a knee injury, which required surgery, and a lower back injury, which required pain management treatment.

  • Catherine Richardson v. WPSC Venture I (Orange County, Florida Circuit Court Case No.: 2014 CA 12703A)
  • Mr. Homola served as lead trial counsel in a case where his client tripped and fell on a defective curb that crumbled under her weight, which resulted in a fractured elbow.

Pre-Trial Settlements

  • Our client was catastrophically injured when his vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 10. 

  • A single mother was killed by the driver of a tractor-trailer in a fiery collision on Interstate 75.  The driver of the tractor-trailer was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision.
